Jordan Construction was founded in 2000 by owner/operator Tim McKinley. Tim started his construction career over 30 years ago and his passion and pride is easily seen in each job he completes. Every finished product is unique and created with the client in mind. Tim works very hard to accommodate the needs of each client and always tailors his creations to the specific needs of that particular client. Tim's creativity has enabled him to craft remarkable kitchens, bars, bookcases, and much more. He takes great pride in his work resulting in numerous repeat clients. “Tim McKinley is a master craftsman. His carpentry skills are superb, and he is incredibly thoughtful when designing and executing a project. He has built our bookshelves and mantle in our living room as well as a long window seat with several drawers. More recently, he built our cabinets, desk and drawers in our new office (which has been featured in 2 magazines). He has helped design and build our deck and now is adding shelving to our garage. Everything he has built has been beautiful, functional, solidly built and has lasted through the years. We have had several other subcontractors for our projects (designers, painters, electricians, lighting suppliers) and every one of them have commented on what amazing work Tim does. Tim is also a great communicator and has the homeowner's best interest in mind. For example, after a load of decking was delivered, Tim noticed that it scratched easily, despite having a long warranty against stains and scratches. Tim let me know right away and said he would not use this product, called the lumber yard and made them take it back and not charge me a restocking fee. "A year ago, we decided the back of our home desperately needed some sprucing up. The discoloration in our vertical grain redwood siding had turned an unsightly driftwood gray with streaks of charcoal gray. Our window sills were showing signs of deterioration with spots of rotting wood. We felt the deck over our garage was decaying prematurely. Despite routinely cleaning and staining it, the deck had become unsafe with screws popping up and boards giving way to holes. With meticulous care, Jordan Construction used the proper methods in cleaning, repairing and refinishing our window sills and redwood siding. As for the deck, Jordan Construction determined there wasn't enough ventilation to prevent the deck from decaying so rapidly. They recommended we go with a concrete deck and vinyl railing. What a transformation! We have the same deck area but in new and exciting materials. The concrete was two-toned and texturized with a warm beige and a rich mahogany resulting in an attractive, rustic look. Black aluminum spindles were sandwiched between the top and bottom beige vinyl railings giving a desirable see-through appearance. Now, when we pull into our drive-way, we want to stop and admire the back of our home before we pull into our garage. Thank you, Jordan Construction, for all your great work.
